The Case of the Volunteer Fire Station
The Fire Chief wanted a better way for his guys to gain access. The local volunteer fire station used traditional keypad locks that were reaching their end of life. At the top of Chief Bill’s access control wish list was flexible credential types. He wanted Bluetooth access with remote unlock capability, but also wanted pin codes and fobs for older volunteers who were less adoptive of mobile technology. Chief Bill also wanted real-time events information to know who accessed the fire station during afterhours calls. Finally, the Chief wanted a way to automatically unlock his hallway door during regular business hours, and then have this door relock automatically at 6:00 pm.
